Essel Propack to focus on non-oral care segments

Essel Propack, world's largest laminated tubes maker, wants non-oral care clients to contribute half of its total sales in the next five years.

MUMBAI: Essel Propack, world’s largest laminated tubes maker, wants non-oral care clients to contribute half of its total sales in the next five years, up from 30% now to de-risk its business model and earn higher margins. “The non-oral care segment has been growing at a much faster rate globally than the oral care and the numbers are attractive too. However, the volumes are much smaller now,” Essel Propack MD Ashok Goel said. In India, most multinationals and homegrown personal care firms have been expanding their portfolio in segments such as toiletries, skin creams and shampoo, where laminated tubes are used.
