In 2020, when the world was battling with Covid-19 and did not have much idea about the coronavirus, Amul landed in a controversy when it posted an ad with the Amul Girl. Tehelka magazine editor Tarun Tejpal was accused of rape in 2013 and Amul decided to make a cartoon out of it. The ad featured him in an elevator and the Amul Girl outside. The tagline? "Kya se kya kho gaya. Amul—Tehelka macha de". This was not taken positively by many. (Image: Amul)

Former chief of the Board of Control for Cricket in India Jagmohan Dalmiya was in the eye of a storm when he was accused of misusing funds in 2008.
