Eicher Polaris aims to manufacture and sell a full new range of personal utility vehicles suitable for India and other emerging markets.

Eicher Polaris appoints Pankaj Dubey as CEO
NEW DELHI: Eicher Polaris, a 50:50 joint venture between Eicher Motors and Polaris Industries Inc, has appointed Pankaj Dubey as its Chief Executive Officer.

Dubey, who is also the Managing Director of Polaris India Ltd, will assume the position of CEO of Eicher Polaris Pvt Ltd with immediate effect, Eicher Polaris (EPPL) said in a statement.

Prior to joining Polaris India, he worked with various automotive companies such as Yamaha India, LML and Hero, among others.

Dubey will be taking over the reins from Radhesh C Verma, the incumbent CEO of EEPL.

Eicher and Polaris signed a strategic joint venture agreement in July 2012. Backed by an investment of Rs 350 crore, EPPL combines Eicher's proven expertise in frugal engineering, lean business model and in-depth understanding of emerging markets with the product development capabilities and world-class reliability of Polaris.

Eicher Polaris aims to manufacture and sell a full new range of personal utility vehicles suitable for India and other emerging markets, catering to the needs of independent businessmen.

The company has already launched a personal utility vehicle Multix.

Prior to joining Polaris India, he worked with various automotive companies such as Yamaha India, LML and Hero, among others.
