Damodar Valley Corporation plans industrial parks to leverage idle real estate
Power major Damodar Valley Corporation today said it is planning to utilise its unutilised real estate to boost revenue.
"We have land in our command area and now we want to invite industry. We got the idea at the Mumbai meeting," DVC chairman R N Sen said here.
"We also want to set up industry parks after talking to West Bengal and Jharkhand. Initially, we have identified 250 acre at Panagarh and 1000 acre at Panchet," he said.
The company plans to hire private firms to detail plans for developing industrial parks.
DVC would get lease rentals and assured power customers. It has an installed capacity of 7700 MW and is planning to raise it to 10000 MW by March 2017, Sen added.
