Cyrus P Mistry debuts on Wikipedia, trends on Twitter
The first entry at 6.27 pm by user Alok Prasad simply read: Cyrus Pallonji Mistry has been selected to succeed Rata Tata as chairman of Tata Sons.

Subsequently, the page underwent over 35 edits in just two hours with users adding bits and pieces of information. The only reference cited on the page as of Wednesday evening was a Reuters story that announced the development.
On Facebook, too, two pages ‘Cyrus Mistry’ and ‘Cyrus Pallonji Mistry’ were also created with wellwishers leaving congratulatory messages on both.
Meanwhile, on Twitter, Ratan Tata and Cyrus Mistry immediately began to trend. Immediately after the announcement, Devang Shah (@DEViations _Inc) tweeted: “Have a feeling #cyrusmistry will be trending pretty soon.” Similarly, Suraj Jain (@surajkala ) prophesized “#cyrusmistry should start trending in a while... lucky chap.” And soon enough, people started tweeting about the development. Some excerpts:
Ramesh Srivats (@rameshsrivats ): Man. With Cyrus Mistry taking over, so many truck drivers will have to repaint the back of their truck to “Ok Mistry Bye Bye” . Poor fellows.
@QuirkyLogic : Finally the Tata group has found a successor. Son of one of their biggest shareholders #CyrusMistry it is.
Vivek Sengupta (@vsengupta ): Good it’s an Indian. A gora import would have been so demoralising for Indian CEOs of all hues #cyrusmistry #tata
