CoinSwitch plans to grow its employee base to 1,500 from around 500 in the next few years.
Crypto unicorn CoinSwitch Kuber received the ‘Great Place to Work’ certification in recognition of the crypto investing startup’s ownership and workplace culture and health benefits and rewards, the company said in a statement.

CoinSwitch – which has grown its employee base from 20 to 500 in less than two years – recently completed its first employee stock option buyback worth $2.5 million in a move to acknowledge its employees’ contribution to the rapid growth it has witnessed, adding over 15 million users on the crypto investing app in just 20 months since operating in India.

“We at CoinSwitch are bringing together a team of highly driven and talented employees to build the future of the internet, Web3, in India, in a fun and engaging workplace. It, therefore, gives me immense pride to be recognized as a Great Place to Work. This survey also provided us with actionable insights that can help us retain our position as an employer of choice in India’s crypto and wealth tech space,” said Ashish Singhal, Co-founder and CEO, CoinSwitch.

Great Place to Work, which serves as the global authority on workplace culture, has surveyed more than 100 million employees worldwide since 1992, using those deep insights to define what makes a great workplace while empowering leaders with the feedback, real-time reporting, and insights they need to make strategic people decisions.

“At CoinSwitch, we believe in creating an employee-first culture. Our best in class and unique benefits are decided based on the feedback of our employees. We are not just proud of the Great Place to Work certification, but equally thrilled that our employees took the time to rate us on 60+ parameters that made us a Great Place to Work,” said Zeeshan Ramlan, Head of Human Resources, CoinSwitch.

“Employees are at the heart of all that we do… Throughout the employee lifecycle, we ensure that their experience is unique by building effective communication and collaboration, adding unique benefits, and creating a path between employees and the leadership,” Singhal added.
