Streetwear aggregator Crepdog Crew (CDC) has raised an undisclosed amount in seed round funding from marquee investors and industry veterans including SMIFS' Rahul Kayan and Wazir Advisors founder Harminder Sahni. The other investors include fashion designers Masaba Gupta and Nikhil Mehra, Pharmeasy’s Dharmil Seth, Siddharth Shah and Yogesh Shukla, and Ankit Solanki, partner Capillary Ventures.

CDC said that it wants to use this fresh capital to increase its e-commerce business and community-based retail footprint.

Founded by three friends, Anchit Kapil, Bharat Mehrotra and Shaurya Kumar in 2019 as an Instagram page, CrepDog Crew has now grown into a multi-crore business. It now has an 6,000 square feet flagship experience store in New Delhi. It also plans to open the second experiential retail store in the next few months in Mumbai.


One of the fastest-growing segments in India, the sneaker sector is currently expanding at 12-15 per cent, and expected to catch up to the global sneaker market that stands at $6 billion.
