Corporates contribute towards social causes

RAJAHMUNDRY: East Godavari district collector Neetu Prasad said that the Reliance Group has contributed Rs 10 lakh to the three-day beach festival to be held from January 11 until January 13.

Earlier, the collector had appealed to donors to contribute liberally to celebrate the festival in a grand manner.

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) has donated Rs 1 crore to the Amalapuram Area hospital for its ECG, X-ray and scanning facilities, she said.

Oil India and GAIL came forward contributed for the construction of compound wall and toilets, benches and other infrastructure facilities of various schools in the district, she said.
