Coke elevates India bottling head to global role
NEW DELHI: Seven months after he was named in a key leadership role at beverage maker Coca-Cola India, Vamsi Mohan, currently region director of the bottling businesses in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, has been elevated to a global role.

Mohan has been named president of the Coca-Cola South Pacific business unit, effective January 1, 2018, a company spokesperson said.

His successor has not been announced yet. The change in leadership comes at a time when Coca-Cola is going all out to broadbase its portfolio of drinks to include ethnic and localised flavours to fight back a slew of smaller, regional brands. With non-aerated drinks growing faster than carbonates, the company is rolling out a range of fruit drinks, frozen desserts, and flavoured hydration drinks, in addition to exploring low-sugar options of its carbonated beverages across brands.
