Coca-Cola legal, HR heads quit

The maker of Coke, Thums Up and Sprite aerated drinks had reported unit case volume growth of 5% for the January-March ’18 quarter for the Asia-Pacific region.

Coca-Cola vice president of its legal function Ish Bali and bottling arm Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB)’s human resources head Seema Nair have quit, moves confirmed by the company spokesperson. Both officials were part of the leadership team at the beverage maker.

The next moves of the officials could not be confirmed.

The maker of Coke, Thums Up and Sprite aerated drinks had reported unit case volume growth of 5% for the January-March ’18 quarter for the Asia-Pacific region, but it did not specify India numbers. “Operating income growth outpaced revenue growth for the quarter, largely driven by favourable product mix as sparkling soft drinks grew volume double digits in China and India,” the Atlanta-based firm had said in an earnings statement last month.
