Clear onboards Medlife's Gowri Shankar Nagarajan as EVP of enterprise business

Fintech SaaS firm Clear (from the makers of ClearTax) has announced the appointment of Gowri Shankar Nagarajan as its new EVP of enterprise business in a bid to expand its enterprise solutions portfolio.

In this new role, he will be responsible for expanding financial products that fulfill compliance and other financial needs of enterprises. He brings over 15 years of experience across senior roles at startups: Medlife, InMobi and McKinsey. He also co-founded Roofandfloor, an online real estate startup.

After consolidating dominance in the compliance space, we are now diversifying into invoices, payments and credit for millions of businesses. Nagarajan’s product, business, and growth expertise will be immensely valuable for us in this mission,” said Archit Gupta, CEO, Clear.


Clear has now diversified to make software for invoices, payments and credit, for millions of businesses, their supply chains, accountants and employees. It is building a single platform to connect Clear’s customers with their business partners - vendors, customers, distributors, accountants. Through this network, the firm will solve for use cases across procurement, invoicing, payments, and collections. Nagarajan will lead this business.

Currently, Clear processes about 10% of India’s B2B invoices with over $300 billion in trade value every year and more than 10% of India’s overall income tax returns. The firm's investors include Kora Capital, Stripe, Y Combinator, and Elevation Capital.
