NEW DELHI: The Company Law Board will hear in August-end the case pertaining to Bajaj family fued between patriach Rahul Bajaj and younger brother Shishir.
Accepting a joint request by the two Bajaj factions, CLB Chairman N Balasubramanian has directed the matter to be listed in August-end for a three-day hearing.
Earlier in March, admitting a stay application filed by Shishir, the principal bench of CLB had directed that Bajaj Sevashram and Jamnalal Sons could not hold any board meeting till the application was disposed off.
The Board had also issued notices to Rahul Bajaj camp directing them to file their reply by March 30.
Later, the Bombay High Court, acting on an appeal by Rahul Bajaj in April had extended the date of filing of reply on the CLB notice to May 31 with consent from the two sides.
The court had also given six weeks to Shishir Bajaj's group to file a rejoinder to the reply by Rahul's side, while directing CLB to hear the matter on a date on joint application of both the camps.
Shishir had approached the CLB in March 2003, alleging that Rahul was planning to oust him from the chairmanship of Bajaj Sevashram, which the other side denies.
