Chennai industry meet draws over 300 companies ahead of Bengaluru Tech Summit

Bengaluru: More than 300 companies from Chennai took part in an industry interaction meet on Tuesday in Chennai. The event was organised by the Karnataka government ahead of the Bengaluru Tech Summit, the state's flagship technology event.

IT/BT secretary N Manjula spoke about the state's technology ecosystem. She also touched on the scope for collaboration with Tamil Nadu's industry.

"Chennai has a strong and vibrant technology and innovation community. Our interaction today was an opportunity to deepen this connection and explore new avenues for collaboration," Manjula said in a statement. She added that the state looked forward to welcoming companies, startups and investors from Chennai and Tamil Nadu to the summit.


Industry leaders, investors and entrepreneurs from the city engaged with Karnataka officials on opportunities to collaborate through the summit.

The summit will be held from November 17-19 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bengaluru.

This year's theme is 'AI & Beyond'. Officials expect over 1,800 exhibitors and 25,000 delegates to take part. More than 1,000 technology startups are also expected to attend, along with over 60,000 business visitors from 75 countries and 30 states and union territories. The summit will cover artificial intelligence, deep tech, electronics and semiconductors, biotechnology, startups and AVGC, among other sectors.

The event will also include tracks on fintech, health and biotech, and spacetech. Other focus areas include the India-USA tech conclave, digital infrastructure and data centres, circular economy, orange economy and electric mobility.

This year will also see the first India edition of embedded world India by NuernbergMesse India. The event is a platform for electronics, semiconductors and embedded systems.
