Chandrasekaran meets DoT Secy to discuss Tata Communication-TTSL deal
Tata Communications, which offers cloud and security solutions to enterprises, announced last October that it would hold “exploratory talks” to pick up TTSL’s enterprise business.

NEW DELHI: Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran met telecom secretary Aruna Sundararajan to discuss the possibility of Tata Communications, partly owned by the government, buying the enterprise business of Tata Teleservices.
The proposed transaction needs to be taken up by the board of Tata Communications first, Chandrasekaran told reporters after the meeting in Delhi on Tuesday. The government held a 26% stake in Tata Communications, formerly known as Videsh Sanchar Nigam, at the end of March. Sundararajan did not comment on the matter.
Chandrasekaran was accompanied by N Srinath, Managing Director of Tata Teleservices.
