Pirojsha Godrej, Adi Godrej's son, will take over as chairperson of the group and Godrej Industries from August 14.
"This moment is both a responsibility and a privilege," Pirojsha, 45, said, adding that the focus will be on scaling the group while retaining its values-led approach.
Burjis, 34, has stepped down as managing director of Astec LifeSciences as part of the rejig.
"I am excited to take on this role at Godrej Agrovet and to build on the strong foundation that has been established. Our focus will be on building a stronger, more resilient Godrej Agrovet, driving sustainable growth while sharpening execution across our businesses," he said.

Nadir Godrej, who turns 75 this year, will retire in August and step down from the boards of listed entities including Godrej Industries, Godrej Agrovet, Godrej Consumer Products and Godrej Properties, the group said in a statement Monday. He will assume the honorary role of chairman emeritus.
As part of the changes, Vishal Sharma, CEO of the group's chemicals business, has been appointed chairperson of Astec LifeSciences while Arijit Mukherjee will be elevated from chief operating officer to executive director.
