Britannia names Amit Doshi as CMO; Doshi moves from Lenovo
Biscuits and bakery company Britannia Industries on Friday named Amit Doshi as chief marketing officer. Doshi moves from consumer electronics and personal tech company Lenovo where he was director, marketing for India and South Asia.

Doshi, who succeeds Britannia’s former marketing chief Vinay Subramanyam, takes over the new role effective January 17.
India’s largest bakery foods company, Britannia’s mainstay brands include Good Day, Tiger, NutriChoice, Milk Bikis and Marie Gold, besides dairy, cake, rusk and breads.
Britannia managing director Varun Berry said: “Amit’s cross-sectoral marketing experience will be valuable in taking our innovation mindset to the next level.”
Doshi has previously also worked with confectionery maker Perfetti Van Melle as well as Britannia across marketing, sales and customer development roles, the company said in a statement.
Britannia, which competes with Parle Products and ITC in the fast-moving biscuits category, has been adding capacity to meet increasing demand for packaged foods, and has committed fresh investments under the centre’s production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme.
The biscuits maker recently revamped one of its core brands. Good Day, with fresh packaging and communication, backed by supplies in over 4.8 million retail outlets.
