The BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BRICS CCI) has appointed Sharmishtha Ghosh as its Executive Director for International Partnerships and Outreach, a newly created position aimed at strengthening trade and investment engagement as the BRICS grouping expands to 11 member countries and India assumes its chairship in 2026.

In her new role, Ghosh will spearhead the Chamber's initiatives on cross-border trade corridors, bilateral investments and institutional dialogue, with a focus on helping businesses across emerging economies access new markets and deepen economic cooperation.

Before establishing her consulting firm, Ghosh held leadership positions in international business development and corporate advisory, where she worked with government agencies, multinational corporations and industry associations on trade promotion and market expansion initiatives.
