An alumnus of the University of Houston from the 1997 batch in Environmental Engineering and the University of Calicut from the 1990 batch in Chemical Engineering, Varghese was managing corporate sustainability/ESG and climate change programs for Infosys Ltd.
At Infosys, he managed all corporate ESG initiatives, investments, and disclosures for the company. His key achievements at Infosys are winning the coveted UN Global Climate Action Award in 2019 and making Infosys Carbon Neutral in fiscal 2020 across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
Prior to this, he had founded an advisory firm Vie2Sustain Consulting LLP that worked in the areas of sustainability, environment, climate change and clean tech. Varghese had also worked with Ernst & Young (EY) between 2009 to 2012 and prior to that was working in the US.
