The Bombay High Court on Tuesday rejected Meta’s plea challenging its jurisdiction to hear a dispute with Blink Digital over disabled business accounts. Meta had argued that the case could be heard only by courts in California, but the court declined to accept the argument.

The development marks a significant step in the case, reinforcing Blink Digital’s position that the dispute can be heard in India and potentially setting an important precedent for Indian businesses dealing with global technology platforms.

The proceedings were heard by Justice Sandeep V. Marne. Kunal Dwarakadas and Siddharth Joshi, instructed by a team led by Naval Sharma of Tuli & Co., represented Blink Digital. Senior Advocate Janak Dwarkadas, instructed by Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, appeared for Meta.

The next stage of the proceedings will focus on Blink Digital’s request for interim relief, with arguments scheduled for November 2, 2026, at 4 pm.
