An assistant executive engineer of the PWD was caught on Wednesday taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 from an electric contractor to clear a Rs 4-lakh bill.

BANGALORE: An assistant executive engineer of the PWD was caught on Wednesday taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 from an electric contractor to clear a Rs 4-lakh bill.

PWD official R Rajashekar , an assistant executive engineer of ESI electrical sub-division , has been arrested. Rajashekar had demanded Rs 20,000 from electrical contractor T Nagaraj. Nagaraj had done electrical work at a few government quarters.
