KOLKATA: The Birlas have opened another front in their legal battle against R S Lodha, who has laid claim to the Rs 5,000 crore assets of the M P Birla group, by filing a criminal case against him alleging forgery and falsification involving Rameshwara Jute Mill Ltd.
A city court on Tuesday issued summons against Lodha, chairman of the M P Birla group flagship Birla Corporation, along with six others and directed them to face trial in the case.
