Reliance Industries is the biggest income tax payer. It paid Rs 9,844 crore in tax last year.

Ambani said Reliance Jio's customer base has doubled to 215 million customers in 22 months after it started out. He said this was a world record.

Now Reliance's consumer business contributes as much as its traditional energy and petrochemicals business. Ambani said it was a point of inflection for Reliance.

Reliance is the largest exporter of India. It has a 8.9% share in the country's total merchandise exports
