BHEL lays down online employee engagement initiatives during lockdown

During this time, the company has created more than 230 learning opportunities through various e-learning courses / webinars / trainings on technical, functional, managerial and behavioral domains for its employees.

New Delhi: One of the largest public sector unit (PSU) in India, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has enabled nearly 21,000 of its employees to work-from-home since the country-wide lockdown.

During this time, the company has created more than 230 learning opportunities through various e-learning courses / webinars / trainings on technical, functional, managerial and behavioral domains for its employees. These opportunities are the joint efforts of BHEL’s Corporate Learning & Development Division, Engineering Division – Project Engineering Management and various training centres spread across BHEL’s units, said the company release.

These e-modules are available on its e-Learning portal (Unnayan) which has been migrated onto the Internet for ensuring accessibility and learning from anywhere on any device. BHEL has also collaborated with external resources for certified online-learning courses. BHEL’s monthly journal ‘Ekam’ is also being shared digitally on this forum.


Apart from this, Team BHEL has even organized a musical evening in collaboration with their customer Mahagenco using an online platform.
