BCIC inks MoU with four Japanese organisations to open office in Tokyo

The Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) on Thursday, signed a MoU with four Japanese organisations to open its office in Tokyo.

MoUs were signed between BCIC, Japan External Trade Organisation, Toyota Tsusho India, Inter Trade KK, and India Research Institute.

BCIC president TR Parasuraman said, they are the first Indian industry body to open an office in Tokyo. “This office will support the business community, people-to-people cultural exchanges and further strengthen the longstanding friendship between the two countries and propel Namma Karnataka as the gateway to Future India,” he said while congratulating the four organisations to support the initiative.


The agreement is likely to help to promote trade and commerce between India and Japan, with the objective of further improving ties and facilitating investments between the two countries. The opening of BCIC’s Tokyo office will go a long way in understanding and sharing good practices from business leaders of the two countries, the industry body said in a press statement.
