Banijay Asia, Endemol Shine unveil new management structure

Banijay Asia, which also controls Endemol Shine India, has unveiled a new management structure to combine the strengths of both companies.

Deepak Dhar, Banijay Asia’s founder and CEO, will serve as both content production companies' founder and group CEO.

Rishi Negi, formerly CEO of Endemol Shine India, has been elevated to Group Chief Operating Officer.


Mrinalini Jain, EVP of business and content, will serve as the Group Chief Development Officer for Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India.

Banijay's EVP and Head of Finance, Strategy, Legal, and HR, Shyam Rathi, has become the Group Chief Financial Officer.

Lalit Sharma and Fiona Machado will serve as heads of legal and HR, respectively.

In July, Banijay acquired a 49% stake in Endemol Shine India from media sector-focused venture capital fund CA Media to take complete control of the content studio.

The transaction solidified Banijay's position as the largest independent content studio in the country. Before the acquisition, Banijay held a 51% stake in Endemol Shine India.

Banijay paid between $90-100 million (Rs 738 crore–Rs 821 crore) to CA Media for the buyout, valuing Endemol Shine India at over $200 million.
