This state-of-the-art PCB facility will bolster local manufacturing of critical components as India makes its mark in semiconductor and chip substrates, the company said in a statement.
“The new facility will employ advanced manufacturing technologies to produce a wide range of PCBs, from single-sided to complex multilayer and specialty circuits,” an Amber Group spokesperson said in the statement. “Further, this facility will also create a direct and indirect employment opportunity for more than 1,000 people in the state.”
The facility will create an annual manufacturing capacity of up to 840,000 square meter upon completion in two phases. It will cater to the rising demand in India’s automotive, industrial, telecom, defence and aerospace sectors.
Amber Group reported a 96% year-on-year increase in standalone profit to Rs 44.31 crore in the quarter ended June 2024. Revenue from operations grew 45% year-on-year to Rs 1,739.89 crore.
Amber Group acquired a 60% stake in the south-Indian homegrown company, Ascent Circuits Pvt Ltd in January, making it a subsidiary of Amber Group.
