NEW DELHI: Vipul Chaudhary has been formally ejected from the top job at the milk federation that sells the Amul brand of dairy products, barely 16 months after he was unanimously elected as the third chairman of the legendary organization.

"You are informed that you have ceased to be chairman, GCMMF, with effect from today -Jan 11 2014. You are requested not to act and represent yourself as chairman , GCMMF henceforth,” Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), MD, R.S.Sodhi said in letter, reviewed by ET. Chaudhary has been told that he would be informed whenever a meeting of the board of directors would be held to elect a new chairman. On Friday, Gujarat High Court dismissed Chaudhary's appeal against his board's decision to eject him.
