Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) announced on Monday that Amit Singh, the current CEO of AGEL, will step down from his position effective March 31, 2025, as part of a planned transition. He will move on to take up the role of CEO of the International Energy Business within the Adani Group, while Ashish Khanna will take up the post.

Khanna currently serves as the CEO of the International Energy Business of the Adani Group and will take up his new post from April 1, 2025, the company informed in an exchange filing.

The leadership transition at AGEL is part of the Adani Group’s routine internal planning process aimed at fostering sustainable growth and nurturing leadership talent across its diverse portfolio of businesses. The group stated that the move is in line with its broader objectives to ensure the continuity of leadership development and to strategically position its leadership to drive future growth.


Khanna has been instrumental in the development and execution of various large-scale energy projects within the Adani Group, and his appointment as CEO of AGEL reflects the group's focus on continuity and excellence in its leadership ranks, noted the company.
