The enhanced workforce deployment is designed to strengthen operational capacity across the network and ensure consistent service levels during the period of heightened demand as festive shopping season gathers momentum, it said.
The 20 per cent addition would take the total workforce deployed across both businesses to approximately 9,000 during the peak season, it said.
From traditional festive purchases to the continued rise of omnichannel shopping, consumers' expectations for faster deliveries, better product availability and seamless shopping experiences continue to redefine retail supply chains, it said.

As part of its peak-season workforce strategy, Allcargo has also introduced a peak-season incentive programme across all operating units.
