Allcargo hires Scandella from DHL to head global arm
MUMBAI: In its most highprofile appointment yet and as part of an overhaul of its senior management structure, Allcargo Logistics has appointed a top executive from DHL, the world’s biggest logistics company, to head international subsidiary ECU Worldwide.

Claudio Scandella was the chief executive for the Middle East, Africa and Turkey at DHL Global Forwarding before joining Allcargo.

The appointment is part of a senior management rejig at the company that creates a power centre at the overseas subsidiary.

ECU Worldwide has four functional heads — regional CEOs of the Americas; Indian subcontinent, the Middle East and Africa; and Asia Pacific, as well as an executive director in charge of Europe. They all previously reported to Allcargo chairman Shashi Kiran Shetty. Now they will report to Scandella.
