Aircel launches special pack to offer discounted voice tariff at night

NEW DELHI: Aircel Monday said that it is offering highly discounted tariff for voice calling at night and talktime benefits on its special ‘ Ramzaan Pack’.

In Delhi, Aircel’s latest product – priced at Rs 86 – offers full talktime of Rs 86, local and STD calling at 30 paise per minute from 12 midnight to 6 AM, and comes with a validity of 12 days.

The pack also offers a discount on ISD Calling, with calls to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia slashed to 16 paise per second and to Bangladesh at 4p per second.

The company said that it has introduced the ‘Ramzaan Pack’ after a high usage pattern observed after ‘Iftaar’ in making local, STD and ISD calls, especially in the wee hours of the night when customers call their friends and family to wake them up or have a little chat.

"The pious month of Ramzaan is a special occasion for our customers, when they like to stay seamlessly connected to their friends and family in India and abroad. We also experience high call volumes during the night hours in the month of Ramzaan and understand that many retail outlets may be shut during those hours, inconveniencing customers wanting to top-up their phone balance. Hence, it only seemed most logical to us to make night calling highly affordable during this time of the year, as we feel a sense of responsibility to ensure that our customers enjoy the most on this festive occasion," Harish Sharma, Regional Business Head – North, Aircel, said.

Aircel’s ‘Ramzaan Pack’ is available across India, including Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar & Jharkhand, UP (East), West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Mumbai, Assam, North East, Kerala and Rajasthan with the product’s benefits and validity slightly varying from one another.
