Uniqus Consultech, a tech-enabled global platform that offers ESG and accounting advisory services, has raised $12.5 million in a Series A fundraise. The startup, which has been co-founded by ex-Big Four leaders - Jamil Khatri, former global head of accounting advisory services at KPMG, and Sandip Khetan, former head of financial accounting advisory services at EY India - also launched its operations on Thursday. "We are creating a world-class, tech-enabled platform for ESG. In five years, we are targeting 80% of revenues from global clients. Our edge is that we are not selling ESG as yet another service; our raison d'etre is ESG," said Khatri, co-founder and CEO, Uniqus.

The startup has acquired SustainPlus, a firm that has been providing ESG consulting to leading companies in India, Europe, the Middle East and the US since 2017, and CEO Anu Chaudhary has joined the Uniqus leadership team.
