Accord Group India chairman Bish Agrawal has been awarded the AESC Lifetime Achievement Award

Kolkata: Bish Agrawal, chairman, Accord Group India has been awarded the AESC Lifetime Achievement Award.

He is the first Asian to receive this recognition in AESC history, the organisation said in a statement.

The Association for Executive Search and Leadership Consulting (AESC) award is one of the highest honours in the executive search and leadership consulting profession globally. Founded in 1959, the AESC now includes 16,000+ professionals in 1200 offices in 70+ countries. The Lifetime Achievement Award is bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated a lifelong commitment to and have had a significant impact on the executive search profession.


Agrawal has played a significant role in the development of the recruitment and executive search profession in India. He founded ABC Consultants, the first professional recruitment firm in India in1969. In the mid 1990s as the Indian economy opened up, he incubated Accord India as one of the first retained executive search firms in India, focusing on C suite hiring and advisory.

Accord India is a founding partner of AltoPartners, a global executive search partnership with over 50 offices across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. AltoPartners are members of the AESC, serving on regional councils and on the global AESC board.
