Till date Indian companies have set up more than 160 establishments in the Netherlands to leverage the advantages it offers as a gateway to Europe, she added.
As per the annual report of NFIA, of the 193 projects of foreign companies which set up an establishment in the Netherlands in 2011, 10 of them were Indian companies.
"We have received repeated interest from the Indian formation and communications technology (ICT) sector last year that clearly inclines towards the growing market for outsourcing in the Netherlands and N.W. Europe as the evident reason for establishing base," Diggelen said.
She said many of the companies use the Netherlands as the stepping stone into Europe.
Besides ICT, Indian chemical industry and media and entertainment are among the sectors which have decided to open an establishment in the Netherlands, the NFIA India said.
The NFIA helps and advises foreign companies on the establishment, rolling out and expansion of their activities in the Netherlands. NFIA India is an unit of the Dutch embassy in New Delhi.
