Several major IT companies, including Infosys, Cognizant Technology Solutions, and Invenger Technologies, have already established their offices in the region. Tech Mahindra recently joined this list by opening a satellite office in Mangaluru. More tech giants are in the process of setting up their offices, indicating a promising future for the region's IT sector.


Investments in Infrastructure
Realtors in the region are also investing in IT-friendly infrastructure to match global standards and attract more IT companies. Plans are underway to add 4-5 IT parks in the next year, further boosting the region's appeal to IT firms.

Rohit Bhat, CEO of 99Games and a key industry figure in the region, highlights the need for better branding and marketing of the coastal cities as tech destinations. He emphasizes the importance of mentoring, funding, and networking opportunities for startups to thrive in these cities. Bhat also mentions the city's plans to add 4-5 IT parks, indicating a significant expansion of the IT sector in the region.

Building an Ecosystem
Mohammed Hanif, CTO of Novigo Solution, stresses the importance of creating a conducive ecosystem for innovation and collaboration. He suggests inviting big IT firms to set up development centers in the region to boost its brand image. Hanif also advocates for tax incentives and supportive policies to attract more companies to the area.

Attracting Talent and Investments
The region's universities and colleges produce a substantial number of engineers every year, with a growing focus on AI, robotics, and cybersecurity. The availability of talent, coupled with the region's affordable living and quality infrastructure, makes it an attractive destination for IT companies and startups.

Mangaluru and Udupi are poised to become the next technology hubs in Karnataka, offering a blend of coastal beauty, modern infrastructure, and a talented workforce.
