Bengaluru techie suffered health issues and financial setbacks
Rajani, originally from Lucknow, had moved to Bengaluru in 2018. He worked for a software company near his residence, according to his father, Manohar Lal, who filed a complaint with the Parappana Agrahara police.He had undergone spinal cord surgery and was under medication for pain. His family mentioned that he occasionally experienced mental distress. He lived with another software engineer, and both families were aware of his condition.
Incident details
Police informed Rajani’s family about the incident early in the morning. He jumped from his apartment around 6 a.m. while his girlfriend was asleep in the bedroom. A security guard, hearing a loud sound, rushed to the scene and found Rajani lying in a pool of blood.His family arrived in Bengaluru by the evening and filed a complaint. They stated that they did not suspect foul play in his death.
Police investigation
A senior police officer said Rajani had invested his savings and borrowed money from his family for his startup, which suffered losses."Family members say he ended his life over setbacks he faced on his health and business fronts. We have taken up the case of unnatural death and are investigating," the officer said.
