As per a ToI report, assigned to manage traffic during a visit by VVIPs (Opposition leaders' meeting), ACP Ramachandra noticed the driver of route 330 experiencing health issues and parking the bus on the side of the road.
Acting promptly, without a moment's hesitation, ACP Ramachandra organized the transfer of the unwell driver to Bowering Hospital in an ambulance. Realizing that the stationary bus was causing traffic congestion, he took it upon himself to resolve the situation.
Displaying a true sense of responsibility and kindness, he stepped into the driver's seat and drove the bus filled with passengers for over a kilometer before safely parking it in a BMTC bus shelter. Some passengers also recorded video of the kind gesture by the senior police officer.
Reflecting on the incident, Ramachandra shared with TOI, "Immediately, we shifted the driver to Bowering Hospital in an ambulance, and since the bus was causing traffic problems, I drove it away for more than a kilometer before parking it in a BMTC bus shelter."
His swift and selfless actions not only ensured the well-being of the unwell driver but also helped alleviate traffic issues during the VVIP visit. ACP Ramachandra's heroic act stands as an inspiring example of a true Good Samaritan, going beyond his duties to serve the community and ensure safety for all.
