Bengaluru horror: Woman's body tied, packed in a sack and thrown in garbage truck

In a chilling incident in Bengaluru, the body of an unidentified woman—tied up and packed inside a sack—was discovered in a garbage truck under the Chennammanakere Achukattu police station limits early Sunday morning.

According to police, the woman is believed to be between 30 and 35 years old. Preliminary findings suggest she may have been smothered to death, although the exact cause of death and any possible sexual assault will be determined after the postmortem and forensic tests.

The gruesome discovery was made by a local resident who had gone to dispose of household waste and noticed a suspiciously heavy sack in the garbage vehicle. On alerting the police, a team rushed to the spot and recovered the body.


Investigators suspect the body was dumped into the garbage truck sometime between Saturday night and early Sunday. CCTV footage from the vicinity shows a potential lead—an auto-rickshaw possibly used to transport the sack to the location.

Police have registered a case of murder and launched a full-scale investigation to identify the victim and those responsible for the crime. Authorities have also appealed to the public for any information that might help establish the woman’s identity or uncover details about the incident.

The disturbing case has sparked shock and concern in the area, with residents demanding swift action and justice for the victim.
