UTI MF launches investor education initiative

UTI Mutual Fund today launched its investor education initiative to create awareness among people about the concepts of financial planning and benefits of investing in mutual funds.

MUMBAI: UTI Mutual Fund today launched its investor education initiative to create awareness among people about the concepts of financial planning and benefits of investing in mutual funds. As part of the initiative, christened as Swatantra, three UTI knowledge caravans will travel from Porbandar, Jammu and Guwahati across the country to spread awareness about financial planning, a press release said.

During the journey, investors meets will be held in various centres. The initiative is in partnership with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, it said.

UTI Mutual Fund has also entered a tripartite agreement with Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Corporation Bank for providing micro pension initiative through UTI-Retirement Benefit Pension Fund to the commercial vehicles community members of BPCL Dealers. The agreement was signed by UTI AMC Chairman, UK Sinha, BPCL Chairman and MD, Ashok Sinha and Corporation Bank CMD, JM Garg.
