Trust MF ropes in Max Life's Vora as CIO

Prior to working with Max Life, Vora worked with ICICI Prudential AMC, erstwhile ABN Amro Asset Management, HSBC MF and Aditya Birla AMC. He began his career with SBI Mutual Fund.

Mihir Vora will join Trust Mutual Fund as its chief investment officer as the fund house seeks to enter the actively managed equity mutual fund business.

Vora joins from Max Life Insurance where he was the chief investment officer for close to a decade.

Prior to working with Max Life, Vora worked with ICICI Prudential AMC, erstwhile ABN Amro Asset Management, HSBC MF and Aditya Birla AMC. He began his career with SBI Mutual Fund.


Text messages sent to Trust MF and Vora went unanswered until Monday press time.

Trust Mutual Fund, launched in February 2021 already has a presence in the debt mutual fund space with six schemes and assets under management of ₹1,100 crore.

The Trust group is more than two decades old with a presence in various segments like debt PMS, investment banking and wealth management.

The fund house is likely to join the likes of Zerodha MF, Kenneth Andrade-led Old Bridge Capital MF, and Samir Arora-led Helios MF who are likely to launch their equity mutual fund schemes soon. This comes amid the partnership between Jio Financial Services and US giant BlackRock to enter the fast-growing mutual fund space.

The total assets under management of the mutual fund industry stood at ₹46.93 lakh crore as of August 31.
