Taurus MF ties with Bajaj Allianz

One of the oldest mutual fund houses Taurus Asset Management Company today said it has entered into an agreement with Bajaj Allianz Financial Distributors Ltd to sell its mutual fund products.

KOLKATA: One of the oldest mutual fund houses Taurus Asset Management Company on Tuesday said it has entered into an agreement with Bajaj Allianz Financial Distributors Ltd to sell its mutual fund products.

Taurus MF CEO Waqar Naqvi said this tie-up would help the company to have greater reach of the market and the company also planned to expand presence.

Bajaj allianz would also employ three lakh existing insurance agents in this partnership. Tarus MF has assets of just Rs 398 crore under management.

"We are planning to expand our presence to 30 branches soon and in the next few years it would be increased to 200 branches.

Speaking about new products, Naqvi said, "We are planning to launch fixed income product and a few others."
Bajaj Allianz CEO J K Bhagat said the tieup with Taurus was the third MF company and wanted to have all financial products under the distribution company grdually.

"We will have credit card, asset management company soon. However, I cannot give details on when these products will be launched and the holding pattern between the two partners," Bhagat said.
