Taurus hires equity fund manager from UTI Mutual Fund

MUMBAI: India's Taurus Asset Management said on Monday it has hired Prasanna Pathak from UTI Mutual Fund as equity fund manager, as part of its expansion plan to strengthen its presence in the domestic mutual funds industry. Prior to his appointment, Pathak managed about 20 billion rupees across six funds at UTI Asset Management, the firm said in a statement.

Taurus had average assets of 2.89 billion rupees at the end of July, data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India showed.
