Tata Mutual Fund warns investors of fake social media accounts

The fund house mentioned that the fraudulent website, mobile application, and WhatsApp group camouflaged themselves as a company/fund or its officials. These fraudulent entities misrepresent to the public that either they are associated with the company or its officials and also promise a huge amount of returns against the investments made.
The fund house further informed that these entities are illegally using the name, logo, and identity of the company or its officials, without authorization, with an intent to misguide and cheat potential investors.
Tata Mutual Fund shared the links to fake websites, mobile applications, and WhatsApp groups. It also shared the links of official social media accounts.

The fund house mentioned, “Please note that the above list is not exhaustive and there may be other Websites, Mobile applications and WhatsApp groups through which the Fraudsters might be perpetrating fraud in the name of Company/Fund and/or its official.”

The fund house asked its investors to inform the fund house in case they come across these fake entities. It said, “In case you come across any such fake social media groups/entities and fraudulent activity, you are requested to kindly contact TATA AMC/FUND at service@tataamc.com so that appropriate action may be taken to curb such mala fide activities.
