The revised norms are effective from August 21 and will apply prospectively until further notice.

The fund house said the change was decided in view of the normalisation of market conditions.
On June 5, the fund house announced that subscription transactions by large investors directly with Tata Mutual Fund, involving investments of a minimum of Rs 25 crore, would be temporarily restricted in Tata Gold ETF from June 8, 2026.
Additionally, lump-sum purchases and switch-ins into Tata Gold ETF FOF were processed only up to a limit of Rs 10 lakh per PAN per calendar month, at the first-holder level, for transactions received after the 3:00 pm cut-off on June 8, 2026.
Tata Gold ETF is an open-ended exchange-traded fund that replicates or tracks the domestic price of gold. Tata Gold ETF FOF is an open-ended fund-of-funds scheme that invests in Tata Gold ETF.
Tata Gold ETF had an AUM of Rs 5,715 crore as of July 31, 2026, while Tata Gold ETF FOF had an AUM of Rs 1,389 crore during the same period.
The revised norms and their prospective implementation were officially announced through an addendum to the Scheme Information Document (SID) and Key Information Memorandum (KIM) of the respective schemes. All other terms and conditions, along with the risk-o-meter, SID and KIM-cum-application form, read with other addendums, if any, remain unchanged.
With the resumption of subscriptions in its gold ETF and FOF, Tata Mutual Fund became the second fund house to allow subscriptions to these precious-metal-based funds. The other fund house to allow subscriptions was Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund.

The fund house has decided to resume accepting fresh lump-sum subscriptions and switch-in applications in Aditya Birla Sun Life Gold Fund without any restrictions, effective August 13, 2026.
