Sunil Singhania-led Abakkus Mutual Fund goes live on ONDC Network

Abakkus Mutual Fund has announced its deployment on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), becoming one of the early asset management companies to integrate with the digital public infrastructure.

The move enables digital connectivity between Abakkus Mutual Fund and mutual fund distributors operating on the ONDC Network. It aligns with the fund house’s strategy of leveraging India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) to expand access to financial products, particularly in underpenetrated markets.

The deployment on ONDC is expected to simplify mutual fund distribution and enable seamless investor access, particularly in underpenetrated rural markets.

Through the ONDC Network, participating ‘buyer apps’ can offer mutual fund products directly to investors via their existing platforms. The framework aims to streamline product discovery and access, allowing investors to engage with mutual fund offerings through applications they already use—without the need to download or manage multiple apps.

Platforms such as ONDC can help expand awareness and access to mutual fund products across investor segments and geographies, making participation in investment avenues such as mutual funds far more accessible,” CEO added further.
