Sundaram AMC appoints Sunil Subramaniam as managing director
Sundaram AMC appointed Sunil Subramaniam, the current chief investment officer, as the managing director of the AMC.

“The Sundaram brand has stood for trust over the past 60 years and under Sunil’s able leadership the company will reach new highs,” Harsha Viji, the former managing director of Sundaram AMC said.
Subramaniam, 57, joined Sundaram AMC in September 2005. In his tenure, spanning over twelve and half years, he has handled various roles such as vice president (retail distribution), executive director (sales and marketing), director (sales and global operations), deputy CEO and CEO.
Commenting on his elevation, Subramaniam said, “We are growing on all fronts but my focus going forward will continue to be the retail investor.”
Sunil Subramaniam has completed his Master in Business Administration from The Open University Business School, London, and is an MSc graduate from IIT Madras. He is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He has 34 years of work experience in the financial services sector. He has previously worked with State Bank of India, American Express Bank and Bank of America.
During the past three years, Sundaram Asset Management’s AUM grew more than 72 per cent from Rs 22,169 crore on July 1, 2015, to Rs 38,166 crore on May 31, 2018. The folios of the fund house also grew by 33 per cent and its presence went up from 50 to 89 locations.
