Rel MF, HDFC MF add Rs 25,868 cr to AUMs

Reliance Mutual Fund and HDFC MF witnessed an addition of a combined Rs 25,868 crore to their assets under management in May and the Anil Ambani Group firm crossed the record Rs 1 lakh crore-mark in its AUM.

NEW DELHI: The country's two leading fund houses - Reliance Mutual Fund and HDFC MF - witnessed an addition of a combined Rs 25,868 crore to their assets under management in May and the Anil Ambani Group firm crossed the record Rs one lakh crore-mark in its AUM.

Reliance MF witnessed Rs 14,342.17 crore addition to its average AUM in May, while HDFC MF added Rs 11,525.47 crore to its AUM in the month, according to latest data available on the website of Association of Mutual Fund of India (AMFI).

Reliance MF's AUM stood at Rs 1,02,730.16 crore, while HDFC MF's was Rs 75,406.10 crore at the end of May.

However, monthly AUM figures of many fund houses including ICICI Prudential, UTI MF are not yet available on the website.

The combined average AUM of the 24 fund houses which have -so far provided the AUM data stands at Rs 3,77,594.38 crore.

Last month, the total average AUM of the 35 fund houses had surged 12 per cent to Rs 5,51,254.22 crore.

The other fund houses which saw an increase in their average AUM in April include -- Canara Robeco MF, DSP BlackRock, Deutsche MF, IDFC MF and LIC MF.

The BSE benchmark index Sensex saw a 28 per cent gain in April and had settled at 14,625.25 points.
