Quant Mutual Fund will launch QSIF Hybrid Long-Short Fund, an interval investment strategy investing in equity and debt securities, including limited short exposure in equity and debt through derivatives.

The fund is suitable for investors who are seeking to achieve a blend of capital appreciation and income generation by maintaining a balanced exposure to equity and debt instruments, with a minimum of 25% in each, while utilizing up to 25% in short derivative positions to enhance returns and manage risk efficiently.

The performance of the fund will be benchmarked against NIFTY 50 HYBRID COMPOSITE DEBT 50:50 INDEX and will be managed by Sandeep Tandon, Lokesh Garg, Ankit Pande, Sameer Kate, and Sanjeev Sharma.

The redemption frequency is every Tuesday and Wednesday of the week. An exit load of 1% will be applicable, if redeemed/switched out on or before completion of 15 days from the date of allotment of units. There will be no exit load payable if units are redeemed / switched-out after 15 days from the date of allotment.

The minimum investment amount is Rs 10 lakh and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter. For SIP, STP, and SWP, the minimum amount is Rs 10,000 and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter with minimum six installments.

This hybrid fund will allocate 25-75% in investment in equity and equity-related instruments, 25-75% in investment in debt and money market instruments, and 0-20% in investment in REITs/InVITs.

By dynamically adjusting allocations based on market conditions, economic outlook, and rigorous asset selection, the strategy emphasizes high-quality equities, investment-grade debt, and stable REITs/InVITs, while utilizing hedging and derivatives to mitigate volatility and capitalize on opportunities. Diversification, active risk management, and periodic rebalancing ensure resilience and adaptability, aiming for long term capital appreciation and income generation within a disciplined framework.

In the risk band, the fund is at level five, according to the scheme information document.
