Quant Mutual Fund announces appointment of Mahendra Jajoo as whole time director on AMC board

Quant Mutual Fund has announced the appointment of Mahendra Jajoo, a veteran fund manager, as whole-time director on the AMC board, effective from January 14, 2026. The fund house informed its unitholders of this through a notice-cum-addendum.

Before his appointment at Quant Money Managers Limited, he served as Chief Investment Officer – Fixed Income at Mirae Asset Investment Managers India, playing a key role in overseeing various debt schemes at Mirae Asset Mutual Fund.

He has over 30 years of extensive experience, having worked at esteemed institutions such as ICICI, ABN AMRO, and Tata Group. His career also includes tenures with Pramerica Asset Managers, Tata Asset Management, and ABN AMRO Asset Management.

This notice-cum-addendum forms an integral part of the SAI of the Fund, read with the addenda issued thereunder. All other terms and conditions stated in the SAI, along with any addenda issued from time to time, remain unchanged.

Earlier this month, there were reports that Jajoo had joined Quant Mutual Fund as an executive director.

As of December 2025, Quant Mutual Fund had an AUM of Rs 93,963 crore across equity, debt, and hybrid funds, according to data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India. The fund house manages 29 schemes, including 21 equity funds, five hybrid funds, and three debt funds.

During his tenure at Mirae Asset Mutual Fund between August 2016 and November 2025, the fund house’s debt AUM rose from Rs 321 crore (as on 22 August 2016) to over Rs 32,000 crore (as on 30 November 2025), despite a challenging credit and interest rate environment.

Mirae Asset Mutual Fund on December 9 announced that Jajoo has completed his transition as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) – Fixed Income.
