Mutual fund SIP inflows hit record high of Rs 32,297 crore in August

Mutual fund SIP inflows rose marginally month-on-month to a record high of Rs 32,297 crore in August, compared with Rs 31,961 crore in July.

On a year-on-year basis, SIP inflows rose 14% from Rs 28,265 crore in August 2025.

Meanwhile, equity mutual fund inflows also saw a sharp rise, increasing 19% month-on-month to Rs 29,697 crore in August from Rs 24,697 crore in July, according to the latest monthly data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI).


Among the 11 equity fund categories, small-cap funds attracted the highest inflows of Rs 7,973 crore in August, up from Rs 7,767 crore in July. Mid-cap funds followed with inflows of Rs 6,989 crore, while flexi-cap funds received Rs 5,059 crore.

Large-cap funds, however, witnessed an outflow of Rs 1,147 crore in August. Sectoral funds also saw an outflow of Rs 53 crore, while thematic funds attracted Rs 1,766 crore.

Value funds and contra funds received inflows of Rs 24 crore and Rs 1,328 crore, respectively. Meanwhile, dividend yield funds and ELSS funds recorded outflows of Rs 133 crore and Rs 1,078 crore, respectively.
